Service Charges

We are very experienced, having been in business for over 30 years, and have an “A” team of cabinet makers, tile and stone masons, carpet experts, wood floor installers, shutter manufacturers, drapery workroom, furniture makers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and everything else necessary for your project.  Because of our relationships with these craftsmen we are able to procure excellent pricing.

Some of our clients are not only new to us, but have never used an interior designer before. One of the first questions we get asked is “how much will it cost, and how do we pay the designer?”

There are several ways we get compensated for our professional interior design services. Which way we will work with you depends on the situation and your personal preferences.

We start by setting up an appointment to review your project.  At that meeting if you decide to continue with us we charge a $500 minimum consultation fee.  This shows your commitment to proceed with your project.

In most cases, our clients continue to use our services after the initial consultation, and purchase materials, furnishings, and services from us. Our compensation comes in the form of a commission or discount from the vendors for our design services.

In other cases, our clients prefer to pay us an hourly rate ($100 per hour), usually in ten hour increments, and do their own purchasing, construction, and installation using our guidance for material and color selection.

Sometimes, especially for very large projects, the client will prefer to pay us a negotiated flat fee for designing and managing the entire project, plus 20% of purchases made through our company to obtain our discounts.
